In this department, it is possible to start the program in the spring semester, and save an academic year: In the following October…you're in the second year.
The Department of Electrical Engineering & Electronics was established in 1993, while the department’s B.Sc. degree was formally recognized by the Council of Higher Education in 1996. It also received authorization to register its graduates in the Engineers’ Ledger. In 2007 the department received a permit to begin a Masters program (thesis required).
The academic staff of the department are engaged in a wide variety of theoretical and experimental research tracks, which are funded by various national and international funding agencies.
Hundreds of graduates of the department have successfully integrated into R&D projects in both private industry, the public sector as well as advanced study programs in the Ariel University Center as well as other universities.
The teaching and research laboratories include: RF and MIMIC; computer communications; electrooptics and biophotonics; millimeter waves; sub-millimeter and terahertz; high voltage and quality control; machinery and high power; superconductors; microwave; control systems; radiation labs.
In 1999, the Free Electron Laser Center (FEL) was established at the Ariel University Center of Samaria and is now recognized as a national research center by the Israeli Ministry of Science. The FEL facilities are used by scientists and professionals from Israel and abroad.
Students have access to advanced computer support for simulations and software development.
