Boris Kapilevich received the M.S. degree in radio-physics from Tomsk State University, Russia in 1961, the Ph.D. in microwaves from Novosibirsk Technical University, Russia in 1969 and Dr.Sc.Tech. degree in microwaves/antennas from Moscow Power University, Russia. During 1988-2001 was a full professor and Head of Applied Electromagnetics Dept. of Novosibirsk State University of Telecommunications, Russia. From 2002 he is a full professor of the Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Eng. of the Ariel University and Head of RF-Microwave-MMwave Laboratory. His research interests include microwave and mm-wave devices, mm-wave imaging, measurements and characterization of materials at high frequencies up to THz range. During 1996 -2001 he was elected as Chairman of Joint IEEE MTT/ED/CPMT/COM/SSC Chapter in Novosibirsk, Russia. He has authored or coauthored 4 books, holds 15 patents and published over 150 papers dedicated both active and passive microwave devices, theory of guided waves, electromagnetics, measurements and material characterization, mm-wave and THz imaging, medical and industrial applications of microwaves as well as some other related topics.
