The History of the Jewish  People in the Modern Era Department aims to provide students with extensive knowledge of the history of the Jewish people from the eighteenth century to the present, as well as basic knowledge of previous periods, from the Second Temple to the Spanish expulsion. The program includes courses that focus on the history of the Jewish people in different regions, including Islamic countries, Europe and the United States, as well as movements, trends and historical and social processes that have taken place over the generations. Special attention will be given to the history of the Zionist movement, anti-Semitism, the Holocaust and the establishment of the State of Israel.
