Prof. David Ben-Shlomo, Head of the Department
The Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology at Ariel University takes an interdisciplinary approach to various research aspects about the Land of Israel. The scholars affiliated with the department come from a variety of different research fields, such as chemistry, geography (including urban, physical and human), history, archaeology and others, emphasizing the department’s interdisciplinary approach. Research and study spans pre-Biblical to modern-day Israel. The department offers courses leading to a B.A. degree.
Additionally, the department offers at least one field archaeology course every summer for academic credit, open to international students.
