Brain and Language laboratory

In the Brain and Language lab we search variety of populations in order to better understand the neural network underline language processing. We use the device of tDCS- transcranial Direct Current Stimulation. tDCS is a noninvasive, painless technique to induce neuromodulatory changes using a low intensity electrical current. Using tDCS we can either increase brain excitability (anodal tDCS) or decrease it (cathodal tDCS).

Major research applications are in aging, Parkinson disease, speech perception, PTSD- Posttraumatic stress disorder and so forth.

The Brain and Language lab is in the department of communication disorders.

The lab founded by Dr. Adi Lifshitz-Ben-Basat on 2015.
