It is my privilege to stand at the helm of Israel’s newest university since its recognition by the Israeli Council of Higher Education as a full research university in 2012. Ariel University began as a small college established in 1982, with only a handful of students. Our current enrollment of 15,000 students is proof of the dedication and determination of our founders to turn their vision of a major institution of higher education into reality. To accommodate this extraordinary growth, our outstanding and dedicated faculty has doubled over the past few years, and with new departments opening, the upward trend continues.
Throughout its constant efforts to develop new areas of learning and research, Ariel University is mindful of the welfare of its students, placing special emphasis on fostering learning, exploration, growth and development in a warm and welcoming environment of inclusion, support and equal opportunities for our diversified student body.
My gratitude goes to our supporters for their generous support and partnership in helping us along the way. I entreat others to join with us in addressing the many challenges that still lie ahead in providing the best possible education and inspiration to our students as they assume their places as future leaders of our increasingly complex and interconnected world. Our students are our greatest resource.
Yehuda Danon, M.D.
