The occupational therapy program is a single-track curriculum integrating theoretical and practical courses with clinical experience according to the standards of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
The program is based on teaching students to identify the limitations or difficulties of a people in their life activities, and learning methods of treatment and prevention for three main population groups:
- Pediatrics – normal and pathological development, diagnosis and treatment of disabilities
- Physical/Geriatric – neurological and orthopedic injuries, old age and related limitations, diagnosis and treatment of disabilities
- Psychosocial – people with mental illness, cognitive disabilities, rehabilitation in the community and the workplace
