L’Chaim to the Samson Family Wine Research Center

Mr. Lee Samson has generously partnered with Ariel University to establish the Samson Family Wine Research Center. This center will pioneer a unique approach in the study and production of wines, from the biblical period to the present, raising the study of wine in Israel and internationally to new heights. Mr. Samson was joined at the groundbreaking ceremony by numerous dignitaries including Ofir Akunis, Israel's Minister of Science and Technology, who helped in laying the cornerstone.

חנוכת בית הספר לרפואה

Is there a Doctor in the House?

חנוכת בית הספר לרפואה

There will be this October 27th, when the house that Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson built opens. As mentioned above, Yigal Cohen-Orgad envisioned a top-flight medical school on the Ariel University campus.
His vision has come to fruition with the opening of the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Medical School.

Ariel University and Florida Atlantic University jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding, committing the universities to work together on future projects. Attending the ceremony were the leadership of both universities, honored guests including Sheldon and Dr. Miriam Adelson who donated Ariel University's medical school, and Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, the highest-ranking US politician to ever make an official visit  to any site in Judea or Samaria. His visit to Ariel University over the 'Green Line' proves the US is now, fortunately, color-blind.

Yigal Cohen Orgad

Yigal Cohen-Orgad (1937-2019)

Yigal Cohen Orgad

It was a profound loss for Ariel University when a founder of the University, our Chancellor Yigal Cohen-Orgad, passed away. From the very inception of the College of Judea and Samaria in 1982, Yigal's vision was to develop the College into a full-fledged university with a medical school. Even his most devoted and optimistic supporters tried to dissuade him from this 'unachievable dream.' We at the University, working with Yigal on a daily basis, had the privilege of witnessing Yigal's drive and personality become the force which forged this dream into a reality – a legacy we will joyously honor at the Medical School's opening in October.

New Year, New Beginnings

Witnessing Ariel University, Israel’s newest and fastest growing university, develop into a major institution of research and higher education, recognized for its excellence both in Israel and internationally, is inspiring.  It shows what teamwork –including your great support–and vision can produce.

From humble beginnings, as a small cluster of buildings dotting a hillside in Samaria in 1982, to becoming Israel’s first new university in 4 decades when it received university status in 2012, Ariel University features prominently on the world map of academia.

AU, home to over 30 research centers, is achieving groundbreaking developments in biotechnology, brain science, robotics, electronics, cyber and Homeland security, cancer treatment and wine research.  Ariel University is making an impact internationally in academia.

Groundbreaking developments are occurring on campus outside the classrooms and laboratories as well:

Israel’s newest medical school, the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson School of Medicine

Ariel University is proud to announce that with the start of this academic year we will be opening the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson School of Medicine, Israel’s newest medical school. Our graduates, trained by AU’s outstanding faculty, will not only provide a great start to addressing the shortage of doctors in Israel, but also concurrently improve the standard of healthcare throughout the country.

Schlesinger Center for Compact Accelerators and Radiation Sources

The Center, the world’s leader in producing compact particle acclerators, will soon be doubling in size thanks to an additional gift from the Center’s Schlesinger family.

Klurman Amphitheather

The heart of the University’s cultural scene and host to numerous concerts, ceremonies and events since its recent opening.

Samson Family Wine Research Center

Motovich Center for Jewish Heritage

The soul of the University, enshrining Jewish and Zionist values.

Even with all the awards, accolades, and buildings the University has received, we recognize that Ariel University’s greatest resource is our Ariel University family of students, teachers, and staff. The University, with over 2500 employees, is proud to be the largest employer in Judea and Samaria.

With over 15,000 students and 450 faculty members from every corner of the country, Ariel University represents the mosaic of Israeli society: Jew and Arab, secular and religious, new immigrant and native-born Israeli. Our campus in Israel’s biblical heartland is a microcosm of the Nation of Israel.

We thank you for your generous and continued support, invite you to come visit our campus or visit us on line, and partner with us in writing new chapters in history.

On behalf of Ariel University, we wish you a Shana Tova and may you and your family have a year filled with health, happiness, joy, prosperity and growth.
