Guidelines for Postdoctoral fellowships

Postdoctoral fellowships represent professional training opportunities for young scientists after completion and defense of their doctoral thesis. They allow young scientists to expand their professional skills, deepen their research interests, pursue careers in academia, and present their own research results at international conferences, symposiums, and meetings as well as publish scientific articles in high-ranking peer-reviewed journals.

Postdoctoral training at AU is two years in duration and can be extended up to five years. Any request for an additional year must be discussed and approved by the Postdoctoral Fellowship Appointment Committee.

Each Postdoctoral fellow receives a monthly scholarship, the amount of which is negotiated in advance with a scientific adviser from AU.
