Instructions for applying:

Prior to submitting an application for a postdoctoral fellowship at AU, the applicant must first contact the appropriate department and faculty member. The applicant must be accepted as a candidate by a faculty member at AU prior to beginning the application process below.

The applicant must submit the following documents. Please note that only typed documents will be accepted.

  1. Completed application form A;
  2. Copies of academic degree diplomas (Bachelors, Masters, PhD);
  3. CV (Curriculum Vitae) including publications and journal impact factor;
  4. A summary of doctoral dissertation (up to 1 page);
  5. A summary of research proposal for a post-doctoral fellowship at AU that has been approved by prospective supervising faculty member (up to 2 pages);
  6. Official valid exam results of a recent English language exam (either IELTS or TOEFL);
  7. Two academic recommendation letters from people familiar with your work;
  8. A letter of undertaking from a supervisor at AU explaining their reasons for wishing to serve as the candidate’s advisor.

NOTE: The absence of one or more of the following supporting documents may deter consideration of the candidate’s application. A set of documents should be sent directly via email to the prospective fellowship supervisor who will then formally submit the application on your behalf.
