Prof. Gary Gellerman received his B.Sc in Chemistry from Ben Gurion University, and M.Sc
and Ph.D degrees from Tel Aviv University in Organic Chemistry. After completing his doctorate,
Prof.Gellerman engaged in research in the field of drug development in pharmaceutical companies.
As Vice President for Molecular Diversity at Compugen Ltd, he directed a multidisciplinary
group of 14 researchers, including 11 Ph.Ds involved in medicinal, organic, analytical and
computational chemistry. Professor Gellerman has been a senior faculty member at Ariel University
(then called the College of Judea and Samaria) since 2005.
The arias of the research are: a) Development of novel tools for medicinal chemistry of small
molecules; b) Controlled release in targeted drug delivery; c) SPOC of novel binuclear
intercalators for cancer therapy. Prof. Gellerman has published more than 50 articles and 16
